| This summer I had the opportunity to travel
to Ireland with a friend that owns a beautiful home on a magical island
in the Southwest called Valentia Island. I fell in love with the lushness
of the countryside, the people, the bright color that is everywhere,
and the ever-changing sky. It also seemed like a journey back in time
and made me realize that life can be much simpler. There was a real
warmth to the people and even the cows seemed pretty happy!
These paintings are the beginning of the Irish
landscape series I am working on currently. I hope they capture
the essence of the beauty of my experience and invite you in to
the landscape of a beautiful country. |
